THE DOCUMENTARY
I plan on creating a documentary of myself going through the process of creating motivational music with my own lyrics and self made beats. I love every aspect of filming, and I definitely love making music; so why not combine the two. Along with the documentary, I would like to make a music video that promotes positiveness in our lives. The beneficial cause to this project other than just doing what I love to do, is to bestow the school with everything I receive such as money, etc. The pricing for my project isn't much other than the professional CD cover consisting of a picture, names of songs on the CD, and advertising. So basically my project is almost priceless due to the fact that all the equipment required is at school such as garage band on the laptops for beat making and voice recording, a video camera for filming, and editing on final cut pro. I plan on my mentor being Dale or Dave, but either or who isn't my mentor will be on my committee. So you can expect to receive some of the hottest motivational music brought to you by some of the youngest talent ever.

ReplyDeleteRead your post, I think this a very ambitious project because everything is being created by you. I like that you're going to be original and I look forward to seeing what you have to tell us through this documentary of yours. My only concern(s) is how many CD's do you plan to make? It will cost you a considerable amount of money and since your film is a documentary about yourself, who will do the filming for you? Is your mentor going to assist you with this part? Also start thinking about how your film will be most effective, will it be in black/white or color.
ReplyDeleteI like how you describe music as motivational. How would you go about conveying that idea to the audience?
ReplyDeleteI was thinking maybe you could show how people get motivated right before their games. For example, you can go into the basketballs boys' locker room and interview them and ask them what music they listen to and how it helps them.
You could also integrate some of your own music and beats and see if they work- give the beats to the athlete's and see if it does the job.
