The Script (Under Construction)

I want you to think about almost every incident in your life and realize what has always been there to help out: music. In some way music has always been there for us and will always be there. There are different types of music for different types of people that stimulate the minds of people in magnificent ways.

When I first became a teen, I went through this crazy phase that most teens go through, but even worse. I used to think life was a joke and would try to live life to the fullest everyday in the wrong kind of ways. I would cheat on girls, distribute, and consume drugs all the time like it was nothing. Then one day I got arrested. I was convicted of a misdemeanor and stayed in jail for three days until my court date came up because my parents were so upset with me. In there, there was nothing to do and after all the movies I’ve ever watched with some jail experiences in it they just work out, so that’s what I thought I was supposed to do. That didn’t last long. I started to whisper lines of songs under my breath that helped me keep faith in my situation. Then I started making my own music to keep faith in myself. This became a therapy and an anger management for me. It helped me cope with the place that I was in and gave me something to look forward to doing when I got out. It gave me something to do to pass by the long boring days, but most of all it gave me motivation to keep my head up and know that this wasn’t the end of the world, and that mistakes happen.

  1. Hey Nick,
I thought this life experience of yours was really inspirational. It helps people realize the importance of having some reliever that will help ease the frustration in certain situations. Whether it be a tangible object or just a thought, you have helped people realize that there is a way to cope with any situation as long as you have your "reliever", in your case it is music. How is you research coming along? What places will be in your documentary? Will it just be you or will others be in there to show how they helped or worsened your struggles?

  2. I too thought this story was important for you to tell. Do you still have these songs? Would they be part of the evolution of the story of you and your songs? Would this be part of your video documentary? Is it supposed to be autobiographical?
