Perseverance

With a week consisting of two tests, a late book report that I had to turn in, and going to the Gala, I must say this week was hectic. I wasn't able to get much work done with my music, but next week is creativity week and I'll get about two official songs, and half of the documentary done. I can't wait!! I'm going to get an early start by checking out the school laptop so that I can compose a couple beats over the weekend and get some lyrics knocked out so that when I get back to school I'll mainly work on recording and presenting to one of my panel members, Mr. Dillworth. He will give me constructive criticism on my songs and from there I will spend the rest of next week working on bettering my tracks. Mr. Dillworth has also offered to help me by filming me for the documentary. Thanks Mr. D!! Fueling off of motivation, I'll face my goals with perseverance; one step at a time moving around obstacles in my way.

  1. I love your enthusiasm. That's how it should be. I have been struggling with being overwhelemed with many things. You are right, al we have to do is take things one step at a time. I recently had a talk with our teacher, Susan Davis, and she told me that sometimes it helps making list of things you need to do, then, as you get them done, cross them off. It really does work.

I can't wait to hear more of your music/beats. I'm really excited and you have encouraged me with your posts. Perserverance is essential for this project. Clearly you have enough of that. Keep it coming.

  2. It's great that you are so passionate about your project. And it seems that you don't let a day pass by without having created it some work. And it hardly seems that it's work for you when you are so enthusiastic about it. Keep being organized because it will take you a long way to have things planned.

  3. I agree with Marissa! I feel the excitement in your writing. I love how you are just so honest about what is going on in your project. Nick I am very proud of how much you have grown and I can't wait to see the finishing project.

I know you probably don't want to give it away (your beats), but maybe you can post the video on your blog. The one where Theo is dunking at our school's game at the Toyota Center. If you already have sorry. Well, you are doing a great job. Keep it up!

  4. Nick,
I agree with everyone who commented. Your enthusiasm is the key to success. Have high goals no matter the situation. You should probably post a blog everyday during Creativity Week to keep your viewers updated and also so they could give you further advice.
